Meet Our Team

Rodney Vercoe  BVSc.
Practice Owner

Mr 200% whether its work or play, this guy knows how to get the job done, you may find your lame cow fixed before you've turned up to meet him.  From preventative health programmes to the individual cases Rodney has it covered.  Not one to sit idle out of the office he might be found on the ocean, on the pitch, on the rugby field (golden oldies these days), on the squash court, on the racetrack, trying his hand at bridge or helping the local lions or footy club.

Regan Gerring  BVSc.
Practice Owner

Tirau born and bred Regan returned after gaining clinical experience with a vast range of animals around the UK including Foot and Mouth outbreaks.  Regan is InCalf accredited so is your go-to for maximising reproductive efficiency in your herd.  With a young family in tow he doesn't have much choice in how he spends his afterhours but he prefers 'walking with dinosaurs' over 'Disney on ice' outings.

Morgan Madsen  BVSc.

Hailing from Waihi, Morgan joined us in January 2019. Morgan enjoys both large and small animal veterinary work.

Sarah Coppard  Diploma in Veterinary Nursing
Veterinary Nurse

Sarah is a local Hobbiton farm girl.  She was working in a small animal practice and then realised how much she was missing working with the production animals.  Here at Tirau she now has the multi talented role of large animal technician and small animal nurse.  Out of work Sarah likes to get stuck in on the Soccer field.

Dianne Louch
Office Manager

Di is often the first friendly face you will see in the clinic.  We are fortunate to have had Di looking after Tirau Vets for over 20 years. After Di and her husband Stu sold their Dairy farm they busied their time with house builds, renovations, looking after the grandkids, organising charity events for the local Pohlen hospital and kicking back at Whangamata.  If Di can't find it, it can't be found!

Amber Coates
Office Administrator

The friendly face of Tirau Vets, Amber comes from a local farming family and is still very involved with the family farm.  When she's not on the farm Amber keeps very busy with competitive netball and other sporting persuits.
